COOKEVILLE – A pair of Averitt Express associates have been promoted to director roles, as Michele Wilborn was recently named director of information services, and Greg Taylor was named director of information technology for the global logistics and transportation provider.

“Both Michele and Greg have demonstrated great leadership in a variety of roles for our team,” Tim Saylor, vice president of information services, said. “They have proven track records in the information and technology fields, and their talents will help our team continue to grow and meet our customers’ needs.”

Wilborn and Taylor are both graduates of Tennessee Tech University, as well as members of Averitt’s exclusive Over 20 Team, which includes more than 800 active associates who have been with Averitt for at least 20 years.

Wilborn has served in a number of roles since 1990, from systems analyst to systems leader, as well as EDI and programming leader.

Taylor, meanwhile, began his Averitt career in 1993 as a tech support associate and then moved into networking, where he recently served as a leader while also leading the Internet development team.
