Dunn honored as CMC’s ‘Ambassador of the Year’

CROSSVILLE – Cumberland Medical Center (CMC) recently named Jane Dunn, RN, its 2015 CARE Ambassador of the Year at a special ceremony.

Dunn works as a nursing supervisor and has been with CMC for 29 years. Her picture is now showcased in the hospital alongside others who have received CARE Ambassador of the Year awards.

“Jane is a longtime employee. Her professional attire and behavior is a positive influence for many of our nurses and staff members,” said Rebecca Foster, CMC chief nursing officer. “We are blessed to have such a caring, compassionate and professional leader to exemplify our mission of improving the quality of life through better health.”

CARE stands for care, attitude, respect and excellence. The award spotlights exceptional employees who showcase skills that are above and beyond what’s expected. Recipients are awarded monthly throughout the year and are eligible for the annual CARE Ambassador of the Year award.

“It is quite a privilege to be chosen as CARE Ambassador of the Year,” Dunn said. “I work with so many amazing and caring people, who help make my job easier and more enjoyable. I have seen many faces and experienced a lot of change, but one thing remains the same. Our hospital continues to provide excellent care with the finest of employees. That’s why I’m so honored to receive this award.”

CARE Ambassadors of the Month, who were also honored at the ceremony, include Amy Spears, Roy Kemmer, Kelly Tabor, Rhonda Wright, Brandy Bowman, Martha  Lewis, Brittany Sherrill, and Phoebe Mahaney.
