Fairfield Glade to hold ‘Get Involved Expo’

FAIRFIELD GLADE – The Fairfield Glade Community Club (FGCC) recently announced the date for the “Get Involved” Expo, will be held at the Community Conference Center from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday, April 27.

The expo allows non-profit organizations and clubs from Cumberland County to educate the public about their groups and provide volunteer and membership opportunities. There is no cost for organizations to participate, but they must contact the Community Conference Center to reserve their space. The event is also free to the public.

“The Fairfield Glade Community Club would like to provide this opportunity to make everyone aware of volunteer needs within local organizations and provide attendees with the opportunity to volunteer or become members of these groups that actively support our community, give back and have fun,” Jill Barnes, Fairfield Glade Community Club, wrote in a release. “This event is great for everyone but especially for any newcomers to the area.”

The “Get Involved” Expo debuted in 2015 but as an expanded Volunteer Expo held in the past. To participate, organizations must reserve a spot no later than Thursday, April 20. For more information, contact Barnes at (931) 707-2061.
