CMO named at Cookeville Regional

COOKEVILLE - Jeff Gleason, M.D., has accepted the position of chief medical officer for Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Gleason will assume his role, a new position for the hospital, on a full time basis Aug. 1. He will begin transitioning on a part-time basis in May. He will oversee many clinical services at the hospital and assume other roles in administration. Gleason will also continue a limited practice in gynecology.

Gleason attended the University of Kansas School of Medicine and completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Vanderbilt University in 1993. He has served on the CRMC board of trustees since 2010. He has previously served as chairman of the quality committee, chairman of the surgery committee and president of the Putnam County Medical Society. Gleason is currently enrolled in Auburn University's Physicians Executive MBA program.

He and his wife Molly have lived in Cookeville for 10 years with their three children.
