Region’s first wound care clinic celebrating grand opening

COOKEVILLE – The Upper Cumberland’s newest medical office is ready for its public debut.

The Advanced Wound Care Center at Cookeville Regional Medical Center, a first-of-its-kind facility for the region, will celebrate its grand opening from 4-6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 10.

The center, located at 205 N. Cedar Ave. in Cookeville, includes two state-of-the-art hyperbaric oxygen chambers, which help expedite the wound healing process. The 4,000-square-foot facility also includes exam rooms for comprehensive wound care treatment.

Patients are already being seen at the clinic, which is a partnership between Middle Tennessee Surgical Specialists, CRMC, and Healogics, the nation’s largest provider of advanced wound care services. The center was built as an attachment to the Middle Tennessee Surgical Specialists building; it is being leased to CRMC.

Monday’s celebration will include facility tours and refreshments and is open to the public.
