Putnam County Property Assessor Steve Pierce, who has served as Putnam County’s Property Assessor since 2014, has been elected by his peers as the 2025 President of the TNAA Officers, where he will “assist in leading the association’s efforts in legislative initiatives, professional development and public service.”’
According to a release, the appointment recognizes Pierce’s dedication, leadership and commitment to excellence in property assessment across the state.
“Pierce has long advocated for fair and accurate property assessments, ensuring taxpayers receive equitable valuations,” the release states. His election as TNAA President is a “testament to the respect and confidence he has earned among his colleagues.”
“I am honored to have been chosen as the president of this outstanding organization,” said Pierce. “Assessors play a critical role in our communities, and I look forward to working with my peers across the state to uphold the highest standards of property assessment and taxpayer service.”
The TNAA represents property assessors from all 95 counties in Tennessee counties.
“Pierce’s leadership will help guide the TN Assessor’s Association in addressing key issues impacting property assessments, including technological advancements, legislative changes, and policy initiatives that affect property owners throughout Tennessee,” the release states.
