JAMESTOWN – U.S. Sen. Bob Corker is making more rounds in the Upper Cumberland next week.

The two-term junior Senator from Chattanooga will visit with business and community leaders at noon Wednesday, Aug. 17, at DeKalb County courthouse.

Corker was first elected to the Senate in 2006 and is a member of the banking, housing and urban affairs committee, the energy and natural resources committee, the foreign relations committee and ranking member of the special committee on aging. Earlier this summer, he was vetted as Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump’s potential VP.

Corker last week kicked off a four-week, 30-plus-county tour across Tennessee. Most recently, he made stops in Clay, Fentress and Jackson counties.

He is expected to provide an update on his work in Washington, D.C., and share his perspective challenges currently facing the nation.
