GAINESBORO – Jackson County business community will kick off the holiday season in traditional fashion on Saturday, Dec. 5.
The Gainesboro-Jackson County Chamber of Commerce recently announced the date for its annual Merchants Christmas Open House. Businesses around downtown will offer specials, food and give-a-ways during the one-day event. Choirs will fill the streets with caroling. And a parade, which begins at 2 p.m., will feature Miss Tenn USA, Grace Gibson, as grand marshal, with a special appearance by Smoky the Bear.
